Cascade Clamps - Established in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine shop employing just 4 people. Overall sales for that initial year amounted to about 60 thousand dollars. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel pipe fittings, valves and different parts. Within five years of operation, the company had expanded to 40 workers and their annual sales volume had risen to $330,000. Today, Cascade is among the leading international manufacturers in the material handling industry.

Design and production of the company's first hydraulic cylinder allowed this young business to aggressively pursue better business possibilities. Throughout the final 60 years, the industry of material handling has grown into a really complex area with Cascade proudly playing a part in its progress. Cascade currently continues to develop as the best provider of lift truck attachments and different related products. In the 1950's, Cascade began designing, fabricating and selling hydraulic accessories. Construction was completed in 1956 on a brand new office to accommodate all the office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's current center of operations. Following 15 years of business, total employees reached 180 staff and sales had reached almost $2,300,000.

The next manufacturing plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's preliminary move into the international world of the material handling industry when the company recognized interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.

The business altered its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The company has expanded its manufacturing plants within the U.S. with locations in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio. Cascade products are made globally thanks to many subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new plant was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is built to be the essential customer service centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and the year 1997 after buying 5 corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the worldwide leader in forks.
